i bleed blue . . .

Today has been my favorite day of work so far. Why, you ask? Because I got to spend a few hours of the day on good ol Carolina's campus, soaking in the weather and reminiscing about my life. What I wouldn't give to still be in college. To have free time to myself. To be able to lay out in the middle of the day, go to a bar and sit on the porch with a cold delicious beer or do anything other than sit in this cubicle all day. Those were the best days of our lives . . .

But for now, I'll keep living for the weekends. This past weekend happened to be a glorious 4 day weekend. It wasn't exactly warm in Charleston, but at least it wasn't raining. I got to sleep in, drink legally with my boyfriend and hang out at a mansion with my family. The St Patty's Day party Saturday was glorious. Beer flowed in the streets and everyone wore green. And of course, I went down the blow up slide. I may be 24, but I'll never be too old. Then a night of oysters and Rasberry Sweet Tea Vodka topped it off perfectly. Needless to say, work on Monday was rough. I could use more of those 4 day weekends.

Next weekend its off to Wilmington for the Wing Fling and a much needed reunion with my godsister. Good times . . .

So I got that going for me, which is nice . . .

I may not have made the shortlist for the Australia job, but I'm having the BEST MONTH EVER. I've been on adventure planning overload . . . and the next 5 weekends will be OUTRAGEOUS. Although my dreams of a fabulous 5 night vacay in the Dominican Republic and a perfect job in Australia have died, there is still excitement to be had.

As if I didn't feel old enough, my youngin of a boyfriend is FINALLY turning 21. So next week I'm taking a 4 day weekend and soakin up the Charleston lifestyle. And, as an awesome coincidence, that happens to be the same weekend of my brother's formal so my parents will be in Charleston too. (Side note: Parents visiting on a formal weekend may seem odd, but keep in mind this is South Carolina where Debutantes roam and formal parties involve the whole family. My brother even invited me to his formal with my beau, but after debating whether we wanted to spend a night with frat boys or out at the bar he can now go to legally, we chose logically) I forsee lots of seafood and sun and next Wednesday can't get here soon enough. :)

Another recent addition to my new pimped out lifestyle is a trip to good 'ol Wilmington, NC. My lovely godsister lives there and I owe her a christmas and birthday present that continue to gain dust at my apt. What happened next could only have been ridiculously awesome luck. The weekend I had open to visit HAPPENS to be the weekend of the Budweiser Wing Fling. Done and done. Also, a friends baby shower is also that weekend in Wilmington. And by baby shower I mean they are having a keg and a cookout. I couldn't have planned this better myself.

I then get one lonely weekend to myself to regroup before the craziness picks back up.

My exciting trip to NY to visit one of my bestests is just 4 short weeks away!! And I have my other NY friends on board for making the most of my 48 hours there. So far we have plans to see some museums and take it back to our childhood with The Little Mermaid on Boardway. Not to mention the money I have stashed away for a lil shopping extravaganza. Oh I'm so excited!

Then, if thats not enough excitement for one month, I have added a much needed trip to Washington, D.C. to visit one sexy Jew. You know who you are ;) I have promised and promised so I am making good on my word. Who knows what kind of nonsense we will get into there.

And somewhere in between these fabulous trips I have an actual job. But stay tuned for details and pictures as these grand adventures unfold.
